Sea Otter 2014 photos from my point of view

Here’s a variety of photos from my weekend at Sea Otter. It was fun to check out new products, but it turns out I enjoyed taking pictures of the landscape more than the stuff. Gear heads know where they can get their fix: http://www.pinkbike.com or http://www.bikerumor.com are just two sites that feature products from the event.

Click on the photos to enlarge them, if you’d like.

Final stretch before the finish line. I beat her at the line, but it turns out she wasn’t in my age group.

Course Preview Pictures

A lot of folks complained about how non-technical the cross country race course was. It’s true that much of it was on dirt fire road and pavement, and there were no technically challenging sections. However, I was still impressed by the beauty of the area.

It’s impossible not to make fun of the half lid/goggle look. And notice how technical the enduro course is! (read with thick sarcasm).

The Monterey Aquarium is not to be missed!
